EVALUATION
What happens when you send us your manuscript?
You’ve finished your book. First, congratulate yourself. Writing a book is a marathon, and only those who’ve made it to “The End” understand the determination it requires.
A manuscript evaluation is an in-depth, developmental editing report where our editor provides a “big picture” deep analysis of your book, examining it for the following: Story premise, story structure, character development, voice, dialogue, settings, prose style, pacing, POV and marketability. Writing a book is an intensely personal venture. The goal is a story that is both compelling and marketable. When you entrust your manuscript to us, we will respect its integrity and help you make it the best it can be.
Additionally, evaluating your manuscript helps us determine whether your book would be a good fit for us.
Why Do You Need a Manuscript Evaluation?
A manuscript evaluation can help you perfect your book and address the weaknesses that you may not have been aware of. An assessment will let you know if you are on the right track and ready to be published, or if you need to take more time to work on it. Upon completion of our evaluation you’ll receive an in-depth critique that pinpoints your story’s strengths and weaknesses. We also provide detailed recommendations on how any weaknesses might be improved so you can focus, tighten, and enrich your story.
